There is an urgent need to control the microbiota in hatching incubators as well as the rearing water. The use of antibiotics does not allow microbial control and may result in an unfavorable alteration of the microbiota. The use of Kanbao can have an establishment of a normal gut microbiota that to be regarded as complementary to the establishment of the digestive system, and under normal conditions it serves as a barrier against invading pathogens. By adding Kanbao to the rearing water or to the culture medium of the live food or feeds has been proved to increase the growth rate of shrimp larvae; and to culture healthy shrimp as well as fish.

1. For adding on the shrimp’s or fish’s meal
3 to 10 kilogram of Kanbao for 1 ton, depending on the growth stages and weather or stress conditions.
2. For culturing shrimps on ponds
a. After the rearing water has been properly made and one day before culturing shrimps; there is a requirement to spray 10 kilograms of Kanbao into a one acre pond.
b. Mixing Kanbao into feeds once a day is required.
c. Whenever the stress occurs, such as the change of weather, renewing of rearing water, the changes of feeds, etc., to mix Kanbao for each meal during stressing hours is necessary, the adding ratehas to be increase up to 5 or 10 kilogram per ton.
d. If the quality of rearing water is becoming poor and has to be renewed, there is also a requirement to spray Kanbao into the rearing water after the pond has fill up, the dosage is 10 kilograms for one acre pond, and increasing mixing rate as 5 to 10 kilograms per ton for the first meal.
4. For culturing live food
Unicellular algae, rotifers or artemia: 100 grams of Kanbao 10 tons rearing water every 2 days.
Store at room temperature and keep from sunshine, humidity, rats and insects.

By using a simple barrel with the cover, 1.5 kilograms of Kanbao-S can make 20 kilograms of lactic acid bacteria with fermentation substance just under room temperature at more than 30℃. That means you can have a great cost down. Of course, more effective efficacies can also be earned.
Method of fermentation
1.5 kilogram of Kanbao-S per 20 kilogram clean water (should be filtered without any chemicals). Shaking well after mixing, then put the barrel in a sun-shielded room. The temperature shoud be up more than 30℃ but not exceeding 38℃. The first check should be made at 10th hour. It is available when it smells a little like yogurt or under pH5.5. A check per hour is necessary if it is not available at 10th hour as there is inconvenient to use when the fermentation substances solidified. Usually, 10 to 14 hours is required when the room temperature is more than 30℃.
A temperature-controlled heater is suggested to use if the room temperature can not reach 30℃.
How to use
10 to 15% mixed to feeds at least once a day, however, if the weather condition is worse, add to every meal is suggested.
For establish rearing water: Regularly, twice a week after continual using 7 to 10 days, 10 kilogram per acre. But 20 to 40 kilogram per acre is required when stress occurred.
Comparison between Kanbao and Kanbao-F
Kanbao offers immediate usage, but costs highly. Sometimes, it is helpful to improve the bottom of culturing pond.
Kanbao-F’s effect is visible and only costs 1/5 of Kanbao.
